October Poem by Snipe
A pack of young raptors
Flash mischievous
Duck and weave around
Tree thick legs of a sauropod
Frightening all about
Wearing tyrannosaurus masks
The festival fires are still lit
As dinosaur and children alike
Huddle close as ghost stories
Swirl around their heads
The pterosaurs paint their wings
The color of the turning leaves
And ride crisp currents
Above the island
It's October.
