The Son of October Poem

    by Snipe

October sneaks
through the island
giggling wickedly
dangles cemetery gate fingers
outside your window

Stretches it's back catways
yawns out a stripy tongue
head lolling on stick neck
October sneaks

Ducking into doorway
peeking out to nervous hatchlings
grins a pumpkin skull
tiny dinos scatter like marbles

Serious business this!
with regal funeral march decorum
October sneaks.
